(Note: I posted this in roughs estimate: a year ago, but for new writers, old writers are fresh from holiday a gentle reminder that it’s not just a few devotees leading people around like a cult but you running the show by coming Thursday evening, sharing your work, critiquing others, and maybe? Blog-Posting!!)
While hoarding the North York Writers blog for myself has been fun (by the way did you know if you Google “North York writers” this blog is the first link?), it would be more fun if more North York writers could stretch their writing fingers and become bloggers; writers who should have more say on what’s being posted on their blog and make sure that some nutjob isn’t using the façade of offering writing exercises for his own personal ramblings. It’s also a great way to exercise the writing part of your brain that is constantly being shoved aside by the excuses brain part (that asshole) as you notice the awesome writing going on here? All blogging. Try it. It will be cool.
That said if you have anything you wish to blog about i.e. book reviews, zine reviews, cool poetry to share, upcoming or past literary events, the addresses of famous writers we could stalk or some actual wordplay exercises, anything at all really, please comment below with your email and your name and I’ll get back to you or just come to the next group meeting with your interest and you can discuss it further with either me or Susan.
